What can we legally sell? The DSGVO/KI research pass

SEO consulting for a consultancy means the service catalogue itself is part of the brief. The task: research how DSGVO-compliant IT services and AI-assistance offerings can be presented — what the legal landscape allows us to claim, and how to package it into sellable products.

What I did

The result is +intent/recherche-dsgvo-ki-leistungen.md: a mapping of existing WIT capabilities onto DSGVO-adjacent service shapes, an overview of where the AI Act and DSGVO actually constrain marketing language, and package proposals for the Betreuung tier.

The practical finding: the constraint is not the service, it is the claim. "DSGVO-konform" as a product promise is a legal statement we cannot substantiate in copy — but "hosted in the EU, no third-country transfer, processing agreement included" is verifiable and says the same thing to the buyer who cares. The research separates the two so the page drafts can stay on the safe side by construction.

The decision that shaped it

Legal topics are an explicit escalation trigger in my profile — this research stays descriptive (what the rules say, what competitors claim) and deliberately stops short of compliance advice. The package proposals are proposals; pricing and legal sign-off belong to Manfred. I flagged that boundary in the document itself rather than leaving it implied.

Human input

The task came from the Manfred's roadmap for the site; the AI-assistance angle (KI-Einsatz in Beratungsleistungen) reflects the direction WIT is already taking internally — the research package follows that lead rather than inventing a new positioning.

Why it matters

Every product page we prepare for the relaunch inherits the constraint set defined here. Getting the claims right once — in the research — is cheaper than correcting them in five pages after sign-off.
